The artists in residency at T.I.C.A- AIRLAB 2014/ Storytelling/as artistic practice, for the fall period (September – October 2014) are:

Saša Tkačenko (b. 1979) is a visual artist based in Belgrade/Serbia
Tatia(Tamar) Skhirtladze (b)1976 in Tbilissi/Georgia
Filip Jovanovski (b, 1979) in Bitola/Macedonia
Jonida Beqo /GYPSEE YO (b.1981) in Tirana/Albania

Saša Tkačenko (b. 1979) is a visual artist based in Belgrade/Serbia. Winner of the Young visual artist award Mangelos in Serbia in 2013, he exhibits locally and internationally (recent shows include: Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade, Künstlerhaus Bremen, Mixed Greens New York, UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art New York. Tkačenko’s works are commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade and Telenor Collection of Serbian Contemporary Art. He holds an M.A. in Sculpture from Belgrade University of Arts, Faculty of Applied Arts.

Tatia(Tamar) Skhirtladze (b)1976 in Tbilissi/Georgia is installation and performance artist based in Vienna/Austria. Her artworks are mostly side-specific art projects and performances presented in Vienna in locations such as: Wittgensteihaus Vienna,VBKÖ, Social Housing Complex "Reumann-Hof",  Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Kunsthalle Wien, etc,

Other personal and collaborative projects of the artist have been exhibited as well in; Baku Carpet Museum, Raum für Kunst, Salzburg, Zarubyan Garden, Yerevan, in Warsaw and Tbilisi.

Tatia Skhirtladze is graduaded by the University of Applied Arts Vienna/Austria (2004) and Dutch Art Institute, Enschede/ Netherlands (2008).Since 2011 she works as Video-teaching assistant at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Filip Jovanovski (b, 1979) in Bitola/Macedonia is a visual artist and civil activist. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture (2010 ) and Postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts Department - painting in Skopje (2012 ).  Jovanovski-s artworks are transformation of political and social categories in spatial pictures. In his work he explores the borders among different media and their interdisciplinary connection – theatre, video, film and spatial installations. His work has been exhibited in ; Museum of City Of Skopje, Prima Center Berlin, Duplex Gallery 100m2, Sarajevo, Victory Obsessed, Poznan,/Poland ,Prague quadrennial for stage design and space, (ICEC)Istanbul/Turkey and  other video and theater  national and international festivals.

 Since 2007 he is the artistic director of the festival for contemporary art AKTO in Bitola and founding member of several local cultural and civil initiatives/organizations.

Jonida Beqo /GYPSEE YO (b.1981) in Tirana/Albania is a performance artist whose work aims to blur the lines between genres. Her background includes successful projects in theatre, dance, storytelling, and an extensive spoken word and slam poetry resume. Recently back in Tirana after residing in SHBA from the age of 18-in she is; the regional Southern Queen of Slam (2008), Atlanta’s Slam Champion (2006 – 2009), a three time National Poetry Slam semi-finalist (2006 – 2008), a National Poetry Slam final stage feature in Austin, TX (2007) and two times as first runner up in the Women of the World Poetry Slam in Detroit, MI (2009), and Columbus, OH (2011). She has been recognized for her work in theatre with the Dell’Arte Diversity Award by the American College Theatre Festival and the Kennedy Center in DC (2004). Since 2002 Gypsee Yo has performed and lead workshops at a number of institutions throughout the US , including Kennesaw State, Poetry at Georgia Tech, curated by; Thomas Lux, University of New Mexico, University of Northern Arizona, Berkeley CUPSI, Atlanta Writers Institute. She has been guest lecturer at Emory University and artist in residence at Calhoun College.
