PROGRAM

TICA’s program has an international profile. We regularly produce exhibitions, film screenings, performance events and workshops. During 2007 TICA managed to organise a number of exhibitions, started its residency program, organized a number of workshops in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, as well as released a couple of small publications related to its activity.

For 2008, TICA aims at continuing the broad base of events that characterized its first year of activity, where a primary role is given to the TICA A.I.R. program. However, after the experience of the first year, we strongly believe that the focus of our work should address the knowledge gaps in critical theory and in arts’ role as a critical voice in society among the young generations of Albanian artists. A series of theoretical as well as hands on workshops involving artists and authors from the world shall be at the core of our program, enabling thus not only the enlarging of knowledge horizon, but the direct development of artistic practices as well. All up and coming events will be announced duly on the Events link on this website as well as through the regular newsletters. However, our main challenge remains the securing of necessary funding for the continuation of the activity.
